What do we propose?
-
Integrating PETE staking and Pete NFT staking in the Waves Ducks interface (Third-party tab).
-
We offer to send one of each item/Jackpot from new event collections to the Waves DAO (whichever DAO can auction/keep/stake). As a reference, some event items have been sold for over 50 WAVES on the marketplace. Jackpots are also able to get double-digit prices in WAVES.
-
5% of all burned EGG tokens are attempted to get sent to user’s referrers. However, since most users don’t have an active referrer attached to them, this 5% is burned. We propose to allocate this unassigned 5% to the Waves DAO.
-
In case there is a shortage of funds earned by the DAO and WAVES sent to us, we propose to add 5k SPICE tokens and fill up the rest with unique ducks that we received from the liquidated Collective Farms.
-
If the DAO is interested, we will credit them 10 vEGG monthly, so they can buy perches and send ducks to farming.
To give some numbers:
The players did 169 turtle rebirths in the last rebirth event, which means 202 EGGs were spent.
Last month, 373 * 0.5 EGGs were spent on ducks’ rebirth, which means another 186.5 EGGs were consumed.
154 breedings were done, which is equivalent to spending 154 EGGs.
Since the launch of turtles, 3416 turtles have been created. 2083 Turtles got hatched through an incubator (Average price 2.72 EGGs, current price 3.42 EGGs).
A total of 5700 EGGs were spent on hatching turtles during the 3-month period. This means EGGs are HIGHLY deflationary since we’ve got only 40 EGGs released daily or 1200 monthly.
Total players in Duck Hunt went up by x3, and total EGGs caught in Duck Hunt went up by 15 times.
So we see that we are able to engage more players, and also players who play longer and spend more.
Therefore, we do believe that the efforts put in ducks do bring a lot of value for Waves Ducks, the Waves ecosystem itself, and everyone involved.
Since the summer, we have expanded our team, hired new developers, and streamlined our internal and external processes.
We solved many long-standing bugs, especially in Duck Wars.
We expanded our marketplace to support NFTs like PETE third-party NFT.
Financially we’ve reached a point, where we are breaking even and making a slight profit. However, if we want to move faster, deliver even better quality, and get more developers, we will need some extra funding for this.
Some of the plans we want to accomplish:
- Reinvent Duck Wars. Some of you might have heard of the Hood Wars concept, we want to bring this idea/broken promise alive. We would like to start working on this in January.
- Improving the measures to maintain the healthy balance of in-game economy, zero tolerance for abusers
-
Total revamp of farming in Waves Ducks, with a soft switch. We will first introduce a vEGG staking solution to test out the mechanics.
-
Extending our focus to include extra chains and communities.
-
Improve our support line with night-shift coverage. Currently, we have 1 support agent who can’t be online 24/7.
-
We will introduce a revolutionary referral system for Duck Hunt and Duck Wars. EVERYONE will be able to start earning instantly by bringing people on board. No investments are needed, start earning from the first SPICE earned by the ones you bring on board. We strongly believe this can bring a wave of new players, since everyone will be able to monetize their marketing efforts for Waves Ducks.
We strongly believe Waves Ducks is currently one of the most successful projects on Waves, and we hope you all will join us on the path to the new heights and even more glory.
We also invite every approved Waves DAO project to contact us for collaborations. We currently have the concept of daily and weekly tasks implemented. We could expand those to tasks that involve your applications/smart contracts and in that way attract new people in a fun and playful way to discover other projects. Currently, we feature daily and weekly tasks.
